Disaster Experts Available to Respond to Health Inquiries From Officials Leading Relief and Recovery Efforts in Haiti

The IOM’s Forum on Medical and Public Health Preparedness includes experts who specialize in managing emergencies and responding to medical, public health, and infrastructure needs before, during, and after disasters. These experts may be available to answer questions from officials confronting the aftermath of the earthquake in Haiti.

Members' names and biographies are available online. Officials responding to the Haiti earthquake who wish to contact these experts may do so directly or via the National Academies' Office of News and Public Information at 202-334-2138 or news@nas.edu.

Some of the following IOM reports also include information that may be useful to those responding to the disaster in Haiti in the months and years to come.
