Activity Description

Congress requested this study from the Institute of Medicine in prepararion for the reauthorization of the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA).

The study evaluated ways to improve mammagraphy interpretation without impairing access, and covered such topics as audits, technical quality, supply of personnel, mandates for monitoring, and steps to make new technology available.
