The first meeting of the Institute of Medicine Committee on State of the USA Health Indicators took place on July 21-22, 2008, in the Lecture Room of the National Academies Building.
At the request of the President and CEO of the State of the USA (SUSA), the committee was asked to identify the topic areas and indicators that should be included in the health/healthcare domain of the SUSA website.
The meeting began with presentations from the sponsors, and continued with presentations from others involved in the field, followed by committee discussion.
