The IOM held a 3 day workshop examining the current oral health workforce and how that workforce contributes to problems of access to oral health services in the United States. The workshop looked at the current needs of specific populations, considered different systems of care, and examined new and existing strategies to improve access to oral health services. The workshop ended with a discussion on how all stakeholders can work together to improve the regulations and structure around oral health care delivery.
