A working group of the Committee on the U.S. Commitment to Global Health held a public meeting on human resources for health on the afternoon of June 10, 2008. The working group meeting began at 1 p.m. and lasted until 5 p.m. at the Keck Center of the National Academies, located at 500 Fifth Street, NW, Washington, DC.
The working group meeting focused on opportunities for the U.S. to improve human resources for health in low- and middle-income countries and examined the U.S. role in health professional emigration and opportunities to improve local human resource capacity. The agenda and speaker presentations are posted below.
