Injection Drug Users Natural History
The Medical Follow-Up Agency (MFUA) is conducting a morbidity and mortality follow-up study of U. S. military personnel who were referred for drug treatment to one of three Veterans Administration (VA) hospitals between 1972 and 1976. This cohort study will attempt to determine the natural history of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection in injection drug using (IDU) participants and a sample of non-IDU veterans eligible for care at VA clinics.
