This is the third letter report from the Committee on Smallpox Vaccination Program Implementation.  This brief report reaffirms the need for a pause in the smallpox vaccination program and provides commentary about the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's smallpox program activities to date, including next steps in the pre-event vaccination program.

The report also provides a discussion about the smallpox components of the recently released Continuation Guidance for the Cooperative Agreement on Public Health Preparedness and Response for Bioterrorism-Budget Year Four.
